About

A man falls into a “sweet slumber” and thereafter wanders through a mysterious forest filled with harmonious voices, erotic temptations, hungry animals, and strange plants. In his dreams, he finds himself in wondrous gardens and labyrinthine structures. He witnesses astonishing spectacles—including a chess ballet and powerful winds. At last, he encounters the woman for whom he has long yearned: Has Poliphilo found his Polia?

Created in collaboration with the internationally renowned organ-building company Rieger-Orgelbau, this music-theater work, conceived exclusively for the Werkstattbühne, invites us to become wanderers ourselves—moving between dream and reality.
